Mats Bengtsson   28 of March - 12 April
Mats Bengtsson, Falkenberg, is 59 years old and has 21 exhibitions behind him, three of them at the Swedish Seamen’s Church in Skagen, Denmark. Last year he refrained from exhibitions and devoted himself entirely to painting. For that reason he will primarily show new works.

Behind him he has many years as hairdresser and professional photographer. He is an outgoing person with such a friendly way of presenting himself that his clients often began a conversation with the words “You Mats”, In a near future this became the company’s name and signature on his paintings. Since 25 years he has put the scissor aside and replaced the camera for a brush and easel. Concerning paint-ing he says it is an expression for his will to create something persisting instead of transient images.

Mats Bengtsson is a seeking artist, who continues to develop and constantly refining his painting. At Ringsegården Konst & Café he presents among other things a collection of birds with partially abstract fea-tures, created with all the humour, self-irony and cleverness making his art so exciting and multifaceted.
